Migration from self hosting to wordpress.com
-
Yes, so many times I have migration my company blogs from one hosting to another hosting. And the biggest problem is always about that attachment like images and another files extension that we upload should do with manually. I backup sql and home directory with cpanel and then I restore in the new hosting.
And my planning is we want to stop hosting and move to wordpress.com, and my big concern is about moving the files.
Will support team from wordpress.com help to do the migration? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out!
Your site is private, so I’m not able to take a direct look at it. Can you explain in more detail the exact issues that you have had in the past when moving your images and files extensions over to WordPress.com?
The better I understand where you’ve run into trouble in the past, and what kind of help you are looking for going forward, the better I can assist!

Hi @dartokloning,
Here is a guide about transferring from a self hosted site to WordPress.com
https://transferto.wordpress.com/
Your content is moved differently than you would normally do it, by exporting it first into an .xml file then importing it to your WP.com site. You will probably need a Business plan if you want to use commercial plugins and themes > https://wordpress.com/pricing/
For custom work you could read about our VIP Services > https://vip.wordpress.com/
