Migration Issues

  Hi folks,

  So I’m a contributor on a hobby blog, and we’re now looking to migrate from wordpress.com, and take our content and host it on our new site, which is a WordPress.org install. The hosting and everything is all done and paid for, but now it’s come time to export the posts, the only option I get on our existing site is for “Press This” and “Post By Email,” with no option to export any of our content, short of downloading every single image and blog post and re-posting the content, which none of the contributors have the time or patience to do. We can’t afford to do the paid migration, and need a little help.

  Lots of Googling, tea and more than a few curses have given me nothing, so I really could use some assistance.
