Migration of followers of wordpress.com blog to new self-hosted site
-
I have already looked at the existing discussions on this in the forum and read the articles and they are not working for me. Mainly because right at the outset I can’t find the Switch Sites option. I have Jetpack enabled on both sites. I have successfully transferred my blog to the new site and have created a wordpress follower button on the new site as well that currently stands at 0. Just want to migrate my followers. Any help given will be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,
What are the URLs of the sites involved?
I see only one WordPress.com site under the account you’re using to post here, and no Jetpack-connected sites. Have you connected your Jetpack site to WordPress.com yet?
Also note that you’ll only be able to migrate your followers yourself if the Jetpack site is connected to the same WordPress.com account that owns your WordPress.com site. If you connected Jetpack to a different WordPress.com account, then we’ll have to do the migration for you. To do that we’ll need to know the URL of both the WordPress.com and the Jetpack site to proceed.

Hello,
Thank you for your response!
I’m trying to migrate followers from my old blog: http://www.scribesmadness.wordpress.com to the new site: http://www.zakiarkhwaja.com. I have already created the wordpress button on the new site.
I guess it must be an account issue then. It would be great if you could you do the migration for me please. Thank you!
