Migration to full WordPress

  The more I play with my new WP Blog the more I want the full version. My question is this. If I were to go through the process of getting a hosting account, etc, how do I migrate everything over in a not too painful manner? I know I can export my posts, but do all the photos and links go also or am I going to be starting from scratch on everything but the posts.
