Migration / upgrade of existing Web site to a ‘full-service’ solution

    Over the years, I have built a Web site (a ”digital magazine”, I call it) with assistance from a developer who has written code for many of the site’s features and functions.

    This developer no longer is available to work with me. Therefore, I have to find a new solution.

    * I want to migrate my existing site, including all of the current content, to the WordPress platform.

    (At the moment, I use DigitalOcean.)

    * I want to avail myself of the services of developers at WordPress to help me upgrade my Web site.

    – I would like to integrate my Web site into a larger structure.
    – I would like to integrate a store (“e-commerce functionality”) into the new structure.

    How best would I achieve these goals?

    A few weeks ago I received a promotional e-mail from WordPress: “Your Site. Built by us. Built for you.”

    One of the options was for an “Express Store” at $499 + $399/year for a “Creator” plan.

    Is this option the right one for me?
