Migrtation of my WP site to my Bluehost hosting

    Hi. I have created a WP blog/website and I am now ready to migrate it to BlueHost (I have the ability to migrate one WP site for free with the BlueHost package I purchased). I only have one small blog website so I’m only using WordPress Personal at the moment. However, whilst attempting to undertake the migration to BlueHost and go live BlueHost are asking me to install the BlueHost Site Migrator Plug-in on WP. To install the plug-in states I am required to upgrade to Business or equivalent. I haven’t tried to install the plug-in yet as I should be entitled to one free migration via BlueHost. I don’t feel I should have to upgrade to Business, is there another way?

    Hi,

    You do not need to use a plugin to export your site content and import it to another WordPress installation. These instructions will assist:

    But yes, if you wish to use a plugin to do the exporting, a Business plan would be required.
