Miigrating followers to new blog site
-
Hi
I have set up a new website at unpackingmybottomdrawer.com that contains all of my wordrpress blog at stolenchild66.wordpress.com. I have migrated subscribers to this new site, but I still have wordpress.com followers who are going to my site at wordpress.com. Any suggestions on how to redirect them? Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Have you looked over this support document?

Hi @stolenchild66, you can do a few things:
– Get a site redirect that sends folks from the old site to the new one: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/
(that would help with SEO, too.)– Since new followers are likely finding your posts in the reader, you could remove those posts from the old site. But you could also simply transfer them all over before you post to the new site.
– If you don’t want a redirect upgrade and don’t want to periodically move subscribers over, you could simply make the old site private so folks can’t follow it anymore.
I hope that helps!
