mikeroscoe.com

Hi, I purchased mikeroscoe.com from wordpress. I keep getting redirected to my other site sbrsport.me when I click on mikeroscoe.com. This site needs to be a stand alone site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It looks like you added both domains to the site sbrsport.wordpress.com
If you can tell me to which site in your account you want mikeroscoe.com connected, I can move it over for you.
-
Hi, sorry about that. This is what happens when a non tech gets going. I want it as a separate site. My two main blogs will be sbrsport.me and mikeroscoe.com. I hope that helps.

What I need to know is to which site you want to connect the domain.
sbrsport.me is connected the the site, sbrsport.wordpress.com, but is actually pointing to a self-hosted WordPress website you created with Bluehost.
mikeroscoe.com is connected to the same site, and is pointing to WordPress.com.
There are two other WordPress.com sites in your account:
https://onequoteoneverse.wordpress.com/ and https://cosmiceinstein.wordpress.com/
Do you want mikeroscoe.com connected to 1) one of those two sites, 2) a new WordPress.com site, or 3) a new site hosted somewhere else like your sbrsport.com site?
For 1, just tell me which of the two sites and I can move it.
For 2, first create a new WordPress.com site at this link: https://wordpress.com/start/site/ Select only a free address, and afterwards let me know what the free address is and I can connect the domain to it.
For 3, you’ll first need to set up a new site at your host, like you did with sbrsport.me at Bluehost. Then you need to give me the name servers for that hosting provider so I can point the domain to them.

Hi, please can we connect it to onequote….
Just to double check, will onequote fall away and be replaced with mikeroscoe.com. That would be first prize.
I haven’t been terribly happy with bluehost and have seen my stats drop since the move accross.
Regards,
Mike. -
I’ve moved the domain to onequoteoneverse.wordpress.com for you and set it as the primary domain so visitors to that site will now only see the mikeroscoe.com domain.

Some traffic loss is normal after a domain or hosting change, as you’ll typically lose some search traffic due to those changes. But if you didn’t have the Bluehost site correctly configured to be properly indexed by search engines that could be part of the problem – WordPress.com sites have all that set up automatically but on self-hosted sites you need to either get into the code yourself, or install a (usually paid) plugin.

I tried to open mikeroscoe.com but it goes straight to sbrsport.me. Onequote did the same thing. I really need mikeroscoe.com to be it’s own site.

You might need to clear your browser cache – your browser still remembers where that link used to go and is going there without checking if the location has changed. The domain is showing the other site for me.
