Mild identity Crisis
-
Hello,
Prior to life as a freelancer I kept only one main, self hosted, WordPress site. This site served as my main hub for my personal and professional brand. It housed my portfolio as well as blog posts about my personal interests.
This strategy worked pretty well for me in the past but recently I decided that my self hosted site will be business only and I decided to move all of my personal stuff over to a WordPress.com site.
I’m really digging WordPress.com and I’m looking forward to blogging with my new site and getting involved in the community. However, I’m not really sure how to handle my profile link.
Currently, clicking on my user name will take you to my self hosted site – which is great when I am commenting outside of WordPress.com – but, when I am commenting on stuff here in the community I would much prefer anyone who clicks to be directed to my wordpress.com site.
Does anyone have any strategies for maintaining these different presences, aside from maintaining 2 separate gravatar accounts?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You have two options:
(1) Keep changing the primary blog linked to your username to another one registered under the same username account.

Thanks for the response, timethief.
I need to give it a little more thought, but it looks like 2 accounts is going to be the best option for me.
