mind the gap
-
My homepage has a huge gap between the header (title + menu) and the first entry of content (picture + text) on a PC screen. For the tablet it’s less and the mobile there’s hardly a gap at all. I want to have the picture and text start pretty much immediately after the header, which is contained in a white bar atop the rest of the page which is in blue. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
Have you inadvertently added spacer code to the content of your static front page? Switching from visual to text (HTML) mode in the page editor might reveal the cause of the unwanted gap.

Hi gorillabay8,
The area on your home page is working as designed. You’re using the Front Page template on this page. It is designed to have space above and below the content as shown on the demo in the area where the text is over the large image.
You can switch to another page template to see if you like those better. Or, if you want to try another theme, you might try using Sela with the Full Width template for your front page.

Thanks for the tips! I tried different templates all to no avail, but then I tried out the Sela theme and I really like it. There’s still a gap but it’s far less obtrusive.
