Mind the Gap between menu bar and main text?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

    I know this is probably an easy problem, when you know the twenty ten theme well.

    We have a gap under the menu bar, which we moved up into the header image.

    I have tried to change the margins and padding on the DIV #main, but the gap still remains. Does anyone have any ideas or can point me to a resource on how to remove the gap?

    The site is http://kiwimana.co.nz

    Thanks

    If you are trying to move the content up closer to the menu bar, adjust the top padding in #main, which is currently 40px.

    #main {
    clear: both;
    overflow: hidden;
    padding: 40px 0 0;
    }

    Nice job by the way on the menu bar and the transparency. Looks good laid over the header image.

    Thanks thesacredpath, yes that was the issue.

    I had the entry in my stylesheet but it was using the one from the parent theme, the child style sheet had an error.

    Chrome is great for finding what css is applying to what section, thanks for pointing me in the correct location.

    Thanks for the comments about our blog, we work hard on it. Perhaps a new theme next year.

    Thanks…Gary
