Miniatures on Facebook and Chrome tabs

    Hey, I have a somewhat minor, yet very bothering problem with my blog. Already browsed the forums for awnsers but didn’t manage to find anything.

    First of all: the Chrome tab miniature. Can I change it to something other than the W logo form WordPress, considering that I have a free blog, and not a particular domain? (.wordpress.com and not .com).

    Second and the reason I wrote this post: whenever I post a link to my blog on Facebook (not a post, the blog itself), there is no miniature picture. The ones on the post show, usually the last embebbed, but when I post the blog link I just get a blank image.

    Thanks in advance for any help, I’d really appreciate it. Bothering as hell :(

    As to your first question: Yes, you can upload a blavatar image that will function as a favicon in your browser in the place of the WordPress logo. Keep in mind that it will take a while to become visible on WordPress and it also depends on your browser itself how it will be displayed there. You can upload a blavatar under Settings ->General: http://en.support.wordpress.com/avatars/blavatars/

    For your second: WordPress.com has no control over what Facebook displays. It suggest to Facebook which image to use, which is usually the featured image if your post has one, or your blavatar if the post has no images, but in the end the software at Facebook makes the decision.     Thank you A LOT!

    That pretty much solved it all. I think I was having those issues since I had just uploaded my first Blavatar, so Facebook was showing a blank picture and the blog’s tab was showing the standard WordPress logo. It’s working fine now. Thanks again for the quick support ^^
