minimal database permissions

  The 5 minute quick install says to grant all on the wordpress database.

  After the tables have been created, what permissions are actually needed?

  Hopefully, it’s only Select | Insert | update | Delete. Maybe some locking is ok, though I can’t see much need for transaction support for a blog.
