Minimum time for scheduled posts

What is the minimum time needed for a scheduled post? For the second or third time I’ve got a ‘failed schedule’ message and my post didn’t appear. The last time it happened (yesterday) I gave it 2 minutes from the time on my computer and it failed, and then gave it four minutes which seemed okay.
Is there a specific minimum? The posts were originally published as private, then I made them draft to work on them further, so I have to change the date and time stamp on them anyway, which is why – to be on the safe side and to trigger the pings/trackbacks mechanism – I do them as short-time scheduled posts. I’m happy doing it this way but I would like to avoid the failed ones.

There is no specific minimum, it all depends on load at the time, but I’d generally give it 30 minutes minimum.

30 minutes? Wow! It had never occurred to me that it might need that long. Thanks macmanx. I’ll mark this resolved now.

The minimum is probably much less than 30 minutes, like I said it all depends on load at the time, but I’ve never had problems with 30 minutes myself.
