Minor Changes to Leven Theme

    Hi,

I am currently using the Leven theme for my website (anteamapp.wordpress.com) and would like to make 3 minor changes to the appearance.

    1. Increase the width of the theme, so that lines of text can be longer without overflowing onto the next line

    2. Move the logo from the top left so that it’s in line with the primary menu as right now it’s above the menu (essentially, I’d like to move it downwards by a number of pixels)

    3. Change the text in the paragraph above the “Get the app” button so that it’s black instead of white

Would these changes be possible, through CSS customisation?

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi @anteamapp, you should be able to edit button colors directly in the block editor. Click on the button, look for the color option to the right, then edit as you’d like.

As for layout changes, they are doable with CSS, but can get pretty complex with various media queries and what not. So layout changes fall outside the scope of the CSS support we offer here.

But, if you wanted to hire someone to come up with CSS and layout options that covers all of the cases for you, considerings screen sizes and various browsers, this team can recommend someone. Or, you might consider keeping the same current front-page layout, but seeing how they look with other themes.

For line-length stuff, check the block’s padding settings; sometimes there’s an option there, too. I hope that helps a bit!

Thank you very much for your reply.

Re: the colour change, I understand that it is possible in the block editor but unfortunately changing the text colour in that block also automatically changes it in other places (e.g. the menu bar). So I’m assuming CSS is the only way to change it specifically in that block?

Once again, thanks for the info – I’ll bear all of that in mind when considering my options!

So I’m assuming CSS is the only way to change it specifically in that block?

    That is correct.
