mis-named the web address

  Well, in my haste, I have named the site: barbfellerscom.wordpress.com . How do I get rid of the ‘com’ – cuz that’s just not right, in more ways than one….

  barbfellers.wordpress.com is already reserved for you. All you have to do is visit the link bellow, select a theme and enter the correct domain.

  So, the “barbfellerscom.wordpress.com will not show publicly anywhere?

  What exactly are you asking? You have to register a blog URL first and then make it private if that’s what you want to do.

  After you register a blog to change blog visibility to Private go to > Settings > Reading scroll to Blog Visibility and choose option 3. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings

  barbfellerscom.wordpress.com is already registered and publicly visible.
  All you have to do is register barbfellers.wordpress.com (without the com). Then you can delete barbfellerscom or make it private like @timethief suggested.
