Mis-spelled new domain name

  • Unknown's avatar

I somehow mis-spelled my domain when I purchased it last week. It is a typo I am sure on my part. I went from changing my blog name to my new doamain name and have misspelled it by letter.
My new domain name should read barefootbaroness1.com. Instead it is reading barefooybaroness.com. Is there anyway I can have this changed? Or may I delet my domain name, get a refund, and start all over?
It’s only one letter I realize but its pretty important.

    Thank you,

  • Registered domains cannot be changed, but this one is still just barely refundable.

Either way, you’ll need to register the correct domain separately.

Would you like me to cancel and refund it, or do you want to hang on to it for a year in case potential viewers make the same mistake?

Thanks so much MacMax for getting back to me so quickly. I would like to cancel this doamin name and have a refund of my monies,
I would prefer to not lose this domain name as I apparebtly lost out on just palin Barefoot Baroness, without the number 1 (one) already.

How long would an appropriate wait before I re-purchase the correct spelling of the domain name now that I have requested a cancellation and refund?
And about how long before I can expect to see the refund on my credit card for the cancelled domain?

Thanks again so much for your speedy help.

  • You can re-purchase the desired domain at any time, just add it via Store -> Domains in your blog’s Dashboard.

I have refunded the incorrect domain, and depending on your credit card provider, you should see the credit on your statement within 10 days.
