MISLEADING: Purchase of Premium Theme

    I purchased the the premium theme called Periodical. But it felt like a bait and switch – because after I bought the theme I was told I needed to needed to also buy a premium plan on order to get all the customization. Please cancel my purchase of the Periodical theme and return my money. Thanks.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ support forums, and many people get confused about the two.

    Refunds
    WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers. The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.

    Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

    Canceling upgrades
    You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

    I’ve refunded your theme for you.

    However, what exactly made you think that the theme included advanced customization? The theme description can be found at https://wordpress.com/themes/periodical, and nowhere does it mention advanced customization, and neither does our Premium Themes support document:

    The only place where customization is mentioned is on our Plans and Pricing pages, where it is very clear that you need to purchase a plan to use those features:
