    I requested domain name derekbateman.net which was available only to find after registration it was changed to derekbatemandot.net !? What kind of screwed up name is that?
    I decided to cancel the account but of course there is no cancel button just the usual runaround the site. Why so, if I’m supposed to have only 48 hours to cancel. Might not a large CANCEL button be a good idea?
    Since I’m running out of life right now, I will leave WordPress’s dumb domain name in the elephants graveyard and find another provider – without WP’s sense of humour. Anyone have a better idea? Good luck to you.

    Sometimes the registration fails – derekbateman.net did not get registered

    The 48 hours is an internet cancel things

    Dashboard >> Store >> My Upgrades >> Mouse over the upgrade and you should see the Cancel Button

    I will also flag this for the staff to help you

    Hi derekbateman2014,

    When a user registers a domain, our system creates a new blog with a similar name, so that there is a blog attached to the domain. We can move the domain registration to a different WordPress.com blog if necessary. Either way, once the domain has been created, the WordPress.com address is hidden from site visitors.

    If you’d like to give this another try, I’d be happy to work with you to find an available domain and make sure it’s set up properly in our system. Just let me know.

    This is my last attempt to get sense out of you people. I don’t want to move a domain registration. I WANT TO CHANGE THE .NET ADDRESS YOU GAVE ME!!!!!!!
    What earthly use is derekbatemandot net.net???
    You couldn’t even give a sensible simple address without messing it up. Now you can’t understand the problem. I Will be blogging elsewhere and pointing out what shambles WordPress is. Do you understand this sentence?
    Thanks for giving me material for my first blog, pointing out what goes wrong when a company gets too big for its boots.
    Hoping this is positive and productive enough for you….
