Misrepresentation of User's Ability for Template

I am very unhappy with WordPress. I purchased a template for $75 – Axion – which advertised that the end user would have the ability to change backgrounds, fonts, etc. These are important elements to me as a designer with a specific vision for my company. Having made this purchase, I find that you can only utilize these functions with an additional purchase of $99 per year through WordPress. This is, quite simply, WRONG. I am sorely disappointed in what appears to be a bait-and-switch deal, and am contemplating returning the template and going with a more honest and upfront option, as well as finding a different host for my company’s website which is on WordPress.org.

    Hi there,

I’m sorry to hear about your experience with the Axon theme. Can you tell me where you saw advertisements on WordPress.com that says you would be able to change the fonts? Here’s the support page for Axon:

    https://wordpress.com/themes/axon/support/

You can update the background by going to Appearance > Customize > Colors & Background. While you can’t change the color, you should be able to change the background. You can change the Header by going to Appearance > Customize > Header.

If you still don’t want the theme I can provide you a full refund and remove it from your account within 30 days.
