Missed scheduled posts

  Hi,
  I initially saved draft posts with a publish back-date of June 2014. I’ve since changed the back-date to the current time and date, so when I publish, the post displays in today’s Reader (not lost in 2014 as advised by WP today). However, the post:
  .displays in my Admin as “Scheduled”
  . missed the publish time
  . not published but sends an email to subscribers a new post is available – clicking the post link displays an empty page.

  Any help would be appreciated as I’ve spent hours trying to publish 2 posts! I’m using the Visual theme.
