Missing a post
-
So I just started this blog, but I’m not new to blogging, and I wrote a new post “My Consultation (Part 1)”, published it, and now it is gone! This was maybe an hour ago, and it is gone. No sign of it whatsoever. I always have a hard time sticking with a blog, and now this just makes me want to stop. Anyone have any suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash(If you are referring to a page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
But if the post was created here http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ there is no means of recovery as the auto-save is not functioning there.
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
The auto-save works there and the post will be Standard post format unless you change it.Do not create posts here > http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ where the auto-save is not working and where you are creating an Aside post format.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/

I see your missing post on the site. It’s here and it’s also appearing further down on the home page:
http://rolfingforposture.wordpress.com/2013/09/11/my-consultation-part-1/Glad to say everything appears to be working, but for future: you can also check your Dashboard > Posts > All Posts list to find the post you want when you miss them on the site.

Despite being experienced with both blogging and web development, I somehow made a very, well, stupid mistake. I somehow over wrote the post with Consultation (Part 2) . . . I was able to go back and retrieve Consultation (Part 1) before the rewrite.
I can’t believe I made such a ridiculous mistake, but I am very happy I didn’t have to try to rewrite the post!
Thank you to those that tried to help; I am happy that in the end I didn’t need it and my post was safe and sound!
