missing a post

    Missing a blog post from my site. Please help!

    Can you please provide a bit more detail about this? I see you have two posts here:

    There is nothing in your trash. Can you describe a bit more what post is missing and how and when you noticed it was gone?

    Sorry new to this while thing. I wrote a post like two weeks ago and when I hit “post” it said “local draft” and never showed up on the blog. Now I can’t even find the supposed draft.

    If it said something like ‘local draft’ I’m thinking what likely happened was that it saved the draft locally in your browser — this is what happens if your internet connection goes out, for example. When you have a draft saved locally, then next time you come online, it displays as an “autosave” notice as shown here:

    But when you edit that post and save or publish, the autosave is discarded.

    Unfortunately, if your post is not one of the two published posts in your site now, it is lost. In future, make sure when you save a post that it shows up as a draft in the Posts->All Posts list in your dashboard here:

    Another thing to be aware of is that WordPress.com saves earlier revisions of your posts. You can read how to review these here:

    However, those two posts don’t have any revisions. But this still might be good to know in future. :)
