Missing a temporary folder error when uploading photo

  I’m trying to upload photos, which was working a couple days ago. Now every time I try to upload one I get the error message ‘missing a temporary folder’. I’ve tried contacting my site host but they couldn’t fix it and said everything was fine on their end.

  You have a site that is it hosted here at WordPress.com and using a different version of WordPress than that hosted and supported here.

  Oops – that first line should have said “you have a site that is NOT hosted here at WordPress.com…
