Missing a whole year of posts
-
I am missing all but 2 posts from 2007. All of the videos I had posted with them are still in the media gallery but all of the posts I wrote and published are gone from that year. (except 2 that are still public)
I’ve tried google searching to bring them up somehow. I went into my post listing and they are not there. I’ve tried general searching – not there. About 25 posts are just gone. Not in Deleted, not in Draft.
Is there a setting to show a certain number of years? Or what happened?I have not changed my theme.

Looking through the log for your blog, I see a lot of posts, including several from 2007 that were deleted by another user who used to be on your blog.
Unfortunately, these cannot be recovered.
-
WHO is the other user who deleted them? I don’t see another user. Where do you see a list of the 2007 posts deleted? I am also missing 1/2 of 2008

WHO is the other user who deleted them?
Digging in a bit further, this appears to have been your own account.
Also, before our logs included specific post information, there was an even larger chunk of posts deleted by your own account within the first two years of your blog’s existance.
I don’t see another user. Where do you see a list of the 2007 posts deleted?
This is something that only we can see.
I am also missing 1/2 of 2008
That was also part of the deletions.
I suppose it’s possible that someone else has access to your account, so you should probably change your password.
-
thank you for helping. wow – did it look like they were all done at once? or can you give me a date of deletion? I’m the only one with a login – I don’t share it but will change the password.
Can you tell if someone else is a user other than mine? -
They were done over time.
I don’t have exact dates, just number of days since today. The largest bracket of deletions was from 1,380 days ago to 1,289 days ago. There were 63 posts deleted during this period.
Over the years, your blog has been accessed by multiple IP addresses, so it’s hard to say if that’s you access it from different networks, computers, phones, etc. or if it’s another person. I recommend changing your password as a precaution.
-
Is there a way to send me the IP addresses? This is pretty serious business, deleting my posts, especially that many posts.
-
No, I cannot release that information. It’s also impossible to determine which out of the 37 were responsible for the deletions.

You’re welcome!
Considering the number, I image that your ISP gives you new IP address once and a while. Also, if you’re browsing from a phone, each cell tower has its own IP address.
