Missing Appearance menu in Dashboard
-
Hello,
On my Dashboard I’m missing the Appearance section. The side has been created several (around 7) years ago, can this be the problem? Does anyone know how to fix it, and get the Appearance menu back?
We need to update the ‘About’ section, and the cover image, both should be changed via Appearance if correct. Many thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Are you the Administrator of your site?
Creating the site 7 years ago is not a problem.
About is a page which is available in Dashboard > Pages > All Pages screen. Header image has to be changed from Appearance page.

Thank you for the reply! Yes I am administrator. But I also don’t see ‘Pages’ in my menu, just Posts, Media, Comments, Feedback, Profile, Tools, Setting.
Would you have any explanation for this, what could be wrong here?

The account you’re writing in from is not an administrator on that site. You are an Author. You can read more about user roles here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/
If you are supposed to be an administrator, you’ll need to contact the current administrator to update your role.
