Missing archived past posts by month in main sidebar (left side)
-
I lost all my archived posts listed by each month in the left sidebar. I recently added widgets to my secondary sidebar. Did that wipe them out!? And I recently changed from a PC to IMAC. Could that have done it? Don’t know what happened. How do I get the archived posts by month back in sidebar? Help! ASAP, please.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Just drag the Archives widget back from the “Inactive Widgets” section at the bottom of the Widgets Dashboard (below the “available widgets at the top) to where you want them to appear.

Thank you Justjennifer. But I’m not clear on this. I go into appearances and then widgets? I’m lost as exactly what to do. Can you be more specific?
-
Entirely correct.
Dashboard>Appearance>Widgets then find the Archives widget towards the lower part of the page and drag it to where you want it to be. If for some reason it isn’t in the “Inactive” widgets section, you can simply add it again from “Available” widgets, but you’ll have to reconfigure its settings.

Justjennifer: I don’t see any widget in the Inactive widgets section at the bottom of the page.

Okay, yes. Got it. Not sure what I did actually but it’s back. Thank you!
One more question if you know this. If I buy my domain name as paulacappa.com instead of paulacappa.wordpress.com (and I have the wordpress name out everywhere for my books and blog), will they automatically go to paulacappa.com? Or will this present a problem? I’d like to upgrade too. What problems will happen?
