missing bottom content graphics in matala theme
-
I am creating a combination for this blog using my own page background image (#wrapper) but wanting to keep the Matala style rough edges to the content areas.
I have managed to get the top half of the rough edges 2-col image to show (#inner-wrapper) using CSS but for the life of me can’t get the bottom of the content areas to show.
I have found the graphics for #primary-bottom (http://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/matala/images/bg-primary-bottom.png) and #secondary-bottom (http://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/matala/images/bg-secondary-bottom.png), but can’t get them to display whatever I do!!
Please can someone help?

The new background looks totally fantastic!
The reason you’re having trouble is that the Matala theme hides the theme-provided background images if you have added a custom background image or color. You can selectively turn them back on though. Adjust your #primary-bottom and #secondary-bottom CSS to this:
#primary-bottom { display: block; background:url('http://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/matala/images/bg-primary-bottom.png?m=1391151556i') no-repeat bottom left; } #secondary-bottom { display: block; background:url('http://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/matala/images/bg-secondary-bottom.png?m=1391151556i') no-repeat bottom left; } -
Thanks for the answer and the compliment! – much appreciated. :)
This worked a treat but I still have a white block showing over some of the bottom graphics. I have tried changing the colour of #primary & #secondary to not be white to see if that was it but no luck.
Would you be able to take another quick look for me?
Thanks

I have also searched the matala style sheet for anything else #fff but nothing is jumping out at me as a reason for this.
I opened the actual graphic for the primary one to make sure it was not part of the design but there is no white block there either.
Thinking it could be a margin or padding thing maybe but where?

I added an extra post to make the page longer and this helped slightly but white block still showing at the bottom of the primary content area

It looks like it’s part of the image itself to me. It’s just hard to spot. You can see it if you take the image and stick it on a black background. Here’s a screenshot so you can see what I mean: http://cl.ly/H268/o

I’m having some issues with editing this theme to fit a site I’m building as well. Worked for countless hours last night and simply cannot figure out what I am doing wrong!
the link above is a screenshot of the issue. this is a site i’m building for a local brewery and so I have it hidden from the public until finished. Have a feeling I’m missing a link, possibly to the bg-col2.png file but I am at my wits end trying to figure this out.
Any help = GREATLY APPRECIATED!
