Missing Comments
-
On Tue 8 May 2012, someone posted a comment on one of my posts. I approved it and responded to the post. But right now, I am not seeing the person’s post nor my response. I did not delete it. I even went to my private email address and approved it again but I am still not seeing it. What happened to the user’s posts and my responses to it? Here is the link: http://specialspice.wordpress.com/2012/05/09/long-live-the-heels/
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I do see comments on that post from Roshni and Sheek Life. If it’s another comment you are looking for try looking here http://specialspice.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php and check the Pending comments. If you don’t find it there you can check your Trash.

Thank you for the link. I am seeing the comment in question on page 2 of the link you provided. The comment was from Karen H, date of the comment Monday 7 May 2012 and it was approved by me. However, why isn’t the comment reflected on the actually post?

The comment was actually left on http://specialspice.wordpress.com/2012/05/07/long-live-the-heels-2/ which no longer exists. That particular post was deleted 6 days ago.

Okay I think I understand what happened. I made a lot of changes to my blog and I do believe that I removed the post and replaced it (the same post). The post was never deleted. It is in the “trash” but not permanently deleted……..I am still seeing the comment. Is it possible to pull the comment and post it on my topic “Long Live the Heels?”

Actually, not since the recent changes to commenting. You used to be able to sign out, and then leave the comment as if you were that user. Now you can’t.
if the post is in your Trash, it’s because you deleted it. Why would you not restore that version and delete the last one? That would restore the comment.
