  The home page on my blog was deleted. How can I get it back?

  The page is still there, but it’s saved as a draft, not published.

  You’ll need to publish that page for it to be publicly visible.

  The last draft I see is from 2018. I revised the page in Feb. 2020, and when I hit view page, it disappeared.

  Book-length writing, editing, publishing, promotion …

  (Then it had a bunch of photos of books and articles, etc.)

  Yes, but that’s an earlier page. It had been updated a few times. There are several photos missing in this one.

  The revisions added content to what was there. I just published another book, and added the info, title, link and photo to the existing portfolio that was on the home page. At the time I added the new information, nothing had been deleted.

  Hm, in that case it would definitely appear to be gone.

  Were you writing the post in an app or on WordPress.com itself?
