I was building a website and everything disappeared. I can’t even login in my original username – epmcgroupcom. Please assist. I need someone to call me ASAP – [phone number redacted by mod]
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello, there is no phone support available so I have removed your phone number from your above post. Also, it appears that there is no user epmcgroupcom
As there is no content on the site you’ve linked to, is that the site you need help with or do you need help on a different site? If so, what is the URL?
If by chance you are talking about a site using the standalone WP software, you’ll want to post at the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on that page.
Standalone WP and WordPressdotcom are different entities; more information about the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

I have a similar problem. Hope this is where I should post this.
I tried a new theme for my site, which is not a new site, then I reverted to my theme “Apostrophe”. I then closed my tab (but didn’t log out – my mistake), and tried another theme. The demo opened with my site in it. This time when I reverted to my site, my footer and all my widgets are gone. They are not there when I go to look in customize. I have not been able to get them back. Have tried clearing my cache, using other devices, etc. I emailed support yesterday, but have not heard back yet. I do not want to have to rebuild my widgets and footer bar. Any ideas? I’m hoping WP has access to a cache of my previous versions from the day before yesterday? Will I have to rebuild my widgets? Thanks for any help…I have made my site private until I resolve this.

Hi Jennifer, its strange that there is no username name by epmcgroupcom. Its what I have been using since March 8th, 2016. The email address was (email visible only to moderators and staff).

The only username at the email address you provided is the one you’re using to post here, epmcgroup, and there has only ever been one site that belongs to this account, http://epmcgroup.wordpress.com/. Your email address for this account was verified less than 24 hours ago, and as it’s impossible to make any changes to a WordPress.com site with an unverified email address, that means you were not working on any site that belongs to this account.
The username, epmcgroupcom, has never been registered on WordPress.com.
All this tells me that your site is not with us, but is a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software, and which is hosted somewhere else. Can you give me your site’s domain? Then I can try to help you figure out where it is hosted.

Widgets disappearing after a theme change is both normal, and not at all the same as an entire site going missing. If you switch between themes that don’t have the same widget areas, the widgets that don’t fit in the new theme are removed and saved in the inactive widgets section of the WP-Admin dashboard, and can be restored from there.

In future, please rather create your own thread, and remember to include a link to your site.
