Missing CSS After Theme Update
-
After running some site updates I noticed that the fonts seemed wrong. I tried reverting the site using a backup and that didn’t fix the missing fonts. Unfortunately my documentation was lacking. I can tell from the html on certain pages that I had written custom styles – but these styles don’t appear to be on any of the multiple css editor areas (I’m using the Momentum theme). I also can’t seem to figure out any .css files that correspond to the editing areas in the theme – which is making it difficult to sift through backup files (I have multiple full backups of the site). Any ideas?

Hi there,
This is the Support Forum and I think you meant to post into the CSS Customization Forum. Here’s the link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform to start your new thread there. -
P.S. Please confirm the URL of the site you refer to as http://newmediamaiden.wordpress.com/ hasn’t been updated since 2010.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. That support is found at http://wordpress.ORG/support/
(3) sites linked to wordpress.COM accounts with the Jetpack plugin so they display on the My Sites wordpress.com account page. That support is found at http://jetpack.com/support/WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, support docs and support forums, run different theme versions of themes with the same names, and many people get confused about the two. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The wordpress.ORG support forums are at http://wordpress.org/support. The wordpress.ORG login link is here https://login.wordpress.org/ If you do not have an account yet then click Create an account https://login.wordpress.org/register/ and if you have lost an account password click Lost password? https://login.wordpress.org/lostpassword/

Thanks! I’ll repost in the css forum – I appreciate the link. The website is http://www.thefamilygivingproject.com. There are css markers like span.quote1 for which I can no longer find the corresponding css.

Hi again,
I’m bouncing between threads and our responses overlapped. I’m sorry but this is the wrong place for support for that site.See here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/missing-css-2?replies=2#post-2911721
