Missing draft: Not save yet, suddenly missing

Hi,
I was typing like about 2,5hours, not yet click the “the save draft” button when it suddenly missing. I try to use “go back one page button”, for there is a notif showing like do i want to restore? I klik it and get it back. But then i loose it again when i want to start writing again. I can’t use the “go back one page” button anymore. What should i do to get it back? thanks a lot in advance for helping me.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there.
To start, I am going by the assumption that the site you are having issues with the draft is http://aku8delapan.wordpress.com/. Also, based on the fact that your site has all posts with just 1 page, I am guessing that you are writing a post, not a page.
Based on that, let’s see if it saved as a draft. What do you find when you go to https://aku8delapan.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=post That is where you would go to find your drafts.
Another way to check your drafts is to go to https://wordpress.com/posts/my/drafts/aku8delapan.wordpress.com
When you check both ways, are you finding your missing draft?
If not, please reply back with what you do find, if anything. We can figure out the next step based on that.

Yes i do write in a post. I don’t know what’s the different between post and page (I should learn it more), i write in a post because it’s easier since i found the pencil icon on the top right.I’ve tried both of your suggestion. unfortunately i didn’t find it. There is only 1 draft (says “story#7……) which i was saved it but never continue it again, and another 1 in the trash (says “story #21….) but it’s not that one. I’ve been writing about hundreds words and i need it. Re-write it is gonna be a final desperate option for me. Please help.

Hi Agnes,
If you didn’t click the “Save Draft” button on your post, that draft isn’t saved on the WordPress.com servers yet. Instead, the draft is saved locally in your browser. You can re-open the post editor at https://wordpress.com/post and click the Restore button there to restore the post.
After you restore the post, please click the “Save Draft” button to save that draft — that way it is also saved in your drafts at https://wordpress.com/posts/my/drafts/ so you can find it again there later.

I already try it but the restore button didn’t show up. It only a page to write a new post. I guess i already click the restore button as my first trial to help my self like i said at first, i got it back for couple sec before it has another same error and i fail to click the save draft button, also when i try to block all then click ctrl+c it didn’t work. I only get 2 last line as a copy, the rest are gone : (Please let me know if there’s any other way that i can’t try. I believe it shouldn’t be gone just like that.

I don’t know much things about technology, that’s why i have less idea when such thing happen to me. Please share if you have another idea to help me here, while i also trying to ask some friends. i’ll update when there’s a succeed way to get what i wrote back.

If the restore button doesn’t appear again, and you didn’t have a chance to save the draft, unfortunately there’s nothing more I can do to help you recover that draft. The only option is to restore the post from the draft saved in your browser at https://wordpress.com/post — if the restore button doesn’t appear there, unfortunately, that draft is gone. I’m sorry I don’t have better news!
