Missing embedded photo from Flickr
-
Hi there,
I am currently on a free plan with wordpress.com and have been posting with embedded photos from my Flickr free account. Flickr recently announced deleting photos on free account starting 2019. This means my old posts will now have no image. How do I prevent that? Any plug ins to help me with it? I am ready to pay for domain and hosting to have plugins ( if there is any) that could help me resolve this issue. Thank you in advance.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The only solution is first downloading your photos from Flickr, second upload and insert your photos in your wordpress.com website.

That’s super crazy.. Cause We are talking about 11k photos in total. I was told there is a plug in that could do that. Have you come across ?

If you want to install plugins, you must upgrade to the Business Plan.
The only plugin I could find was Auto Upload Images, https://wordpress.org/plugins/auto-upload-images/ -
I’ve also gone ahead and flagged this thread for Staff attention since you are not alone in your concern about your older WordPressdotcom blog posts becoming swiss cheese if you don’t upgrade to Flickr Pro so embeds don’t disappear. (reference)
In practice, however, the suggestion that @staartmees gave about downloading and then uploading and inserting those images in your WordPressdotcom website is the only one possible without using plugins, which are available in the Business plan upgrade. https://en.support.wordpress.com/business-plan/ For plugin suggestions, you might want to ask at the forums for the standalone WordPress software. https://wordpress.org/support/forums
