Missing Front Page Column; Please help!

    Hi, I once was able to put a widget in my front page widget section on the edin theme, but now when I set a widget for my either of my three front page sections, it saves but nothing is visible on my home page. Please help, If not I can’t set up my home page :(

    I believe the problem is the front page widgets only work when you are using the front page template. You have a front page now, but because it’s not using the right template, the widgets don’t appear.

    If you like the look of your site the way it is, but would like to have a footer, you could put the widgets in the footer one, footer two, and footer three sections instead. Note: If you do this they will show up on every page, not just the front page.

    You might also try applying the front page template to the page you have selected as your static front page and see if you like the results.

    To do that, open the page as you normally would to edit. Then choose “front page” under the template option in the “Page Attributes” menu on the right side of the page. Click “update” and you should be set.
