Missing Garland?

I created a new blog last month using the Garland theme, now I want to create a second blog with the same look as the first, but I can’t find Garland. What happened to it? It was the only one that allowed custom colors.

I just checked and I see it available on my blogs here at wordpress.com.
Dashboard => => Presentation => Themes. Would you please try it again?Also as your username is not linked to your blog and this usually means the blog is not from wordpress.com. So if it happens that your blog is not a wordpress.org blog then you need to ask for support here http://wordpress.org/support
We run on different software here than they do. -
any new blogs that are created cannot use the garland theme. it’s terribly inconsistent, i know. personally, i’d like to see it removed from all blogs (like 2813)

Garland is a nice theme, but it’s in the middle of what can only be called a custody battle right now. Be patient and it may resurface once something gets worked out between Drupal and WordPress.

Excuse me but drmike expects us to answer the questions posed. I did that. Garland is appearing in our Presentation theme choices. I have just confirmed yet again that it can be chosen by actually doing so on my test blog only moments ago.
Hence this statement is incorrect: “any new blogs that are created cannot use the garland theme.” There is no need to wait for Garland to “resurface” – it’s there.

Not quite so: did you create a new blog and try to put it in the Garland theme? Existing blogs can, perhaps, use it, but the point is that new ones cannot.

Thanks for clarifying that rain. No I did not create a brand new blog. The two I used to test Garland are about a month old. I humbly apologize for not getting this right … sorry :(
P.S. ericwolff has not returned as yet so I’m glad he can see this correction and not be mislead by what I said. -
Man, that’s really frustrating. Now I have to redesign the original to look like the second one.

So, I suggest you send in a theme request feedback to staff. As far as I can tell, at the moment, all WordPress.com blogs look really weird. Something has gone awry with the overall formatting it would seem.

Not sure why you’re posting it to this thread but can you tell us what you’re trying to do and what method you’re using? Are you getting an error? You don’t give us anything to go on I’m afarid so there’s little we can help with.
If you look at the http://wordpress.com page while logged in, you should see a “Create a new blog” link.

at wordpress.com and clicked Register another blog. (sorry I don’t see the word “Create a new blog” according to you.) In the box “Pl. enter a blog name” – it is not working !

I’m afraid that “it is not working” doesn’t give me a whole lot to go on. Again, what happens? Is it giving you an error? Are you not being able to type anything in?

Yes Sir, that’s right I cannot type in . The cursor is not accepted. That is when I place
the cursor into the box – I just cannot type in. Can you pl. try and come back to me.

Hmm, that’s strange. What browser are you using? I know it works with IE6 and Netscape 7.1 at least.

Hello drmike, What has it got to do ? Which browser I’m using ? I have a blog is it ? When I can create already a blog , what is the point asking me which browser I’m using. The fact is when I want to create a second blog something is stopping ! The remarks says ” If you’re not going to use a great blog domain , leave it for a new user” What does that mean ? Does that mean I have not published enough articles ? Simply I cannot enter the cursor in the box.
