Missing icons on blog with sharing

Hello, I have dragged all services to the include area. However, when viewing my blog, I only see the facebook, twitter and pring buttons. The other buttons are not displayed. Looking at the source code it looks like most of it is there:

    <div class=”snap_nopreview sharing robots-nocontent”>

      <li class=”sharing_label”>Share this:<li class=”share-facebook share-regular”><div class=”facebook_button”>Share<script src=”http://static.ak.fbcdn.net/connect.php/js/FB.Share” type=”text/javascript”></script></div><li class=”share-twitter share-regular”><div class=”twitter_button”><iframe allowtransparency=”true” frameborder=”0″ scrolling=”no” src=”http://platform.twitter.com/widgets/tweet_button.html?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.politicalidiots.us%2Frepublicans-love-their-dogma-except-you-know-when-it-works-against-them%2F&counturl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.politicalidiots.us%2Frepublicans-love-their-dogma-except-you-know-when-it-works-against-them%2F&count=horizontal&text=Republicans%20love%20their%20dogma…%20except%2C%20you%20know%2C%20when%20it%20works%20against%20them: ” style=”width:97px; height:20px;”></iframe></div><li class=”share-google-plus-1 share-regular”><div class=”googleplus1_button”><g:plusone size=”small” callback=”sharing_plusone” href=”http://www.politicalidiots.us/republicans-love-their-dogma-except-you-know-when-it-works-against-them/”></g:plusone></div><li class=”share-email share-regular”><li class=”share-print share-regular”><li class=”share-custom”>Share<li class=”share-end”>

    <div class=”sharing-hidden”><div class=”inner” style=”display: none;”>

    </div></div><div class=”sharing-clear”></div></div></div>
    <div class=”endline”></div>

I’m just not sure why it doesn’t show up.

  • Can you please try disabling all other plugins to rule-out a plugin conflict?

Theme function can sometimes interfere like plugins too, so if you didn’t find the cause by disabling all other plugins, please try temporarily activating the Twenty Eleven theme.

Ok, so with the 2011 they are showing up. Any ideas where to start looking?

ie are there any specific requirements that the plugin needs to get most/all the buttons to work, that need to be included in the THEME.

  • Unknown's avatar

Can you let me know the name of the theme you were using?

I would recommend contacting the theme authors to let them know that some of the sharing buttons from Jetpack don’t appear when using that theme.

The theme I am using is called:

Forsight and Sagacity 1.0 by EZwpthemes

I will try to reach out to them and see what they say. The code is there so it looks like it would be a CSS issue. However, I did not see any conflicting CSS with the theme.

  • That’s the first I’ve heard of that theme, so I can’t find any recorded issues with it.

In this case, the theme’s developer should be able to help you sort this out.

Thanks, I’ve already left them a message, hoping they take a look soon. I’ll have to go through the CSS again because, well it can’t be anything else but a CSS issue.

The only other thing I can think of is if there’s anything in the THEMES that the plugin requires to be there in order for these to work (outside of basic functionality), that this THEME doesn’t include.

  • We provide our own styling, so I think something that the theme author has included may actually be conflicting.
