Missing images

Hi, the images on my site http://vwcamperfun.wordpress.com/ keep disappearing. I work on Safari on a Mac (10.4.11), and have cleared the cache and cookies. I tried on Firefox (also on the Mac), but that took ages to even load the front page of wordpress.com, let alone my blog. I have also tried on Google Chrome on a PC with no luck.
This has all happened since the outage last week. Until then all the images loaded instantly – the customised header plus four pictures: three on posts and one on the About page.
I logged on today to find all the images had returned. My happiness was shortlived when I loaded a new image here http://vwcamperfun.wordpress.com/stuff/. Now all the images have disappeared again, including the customised header.
I haven’t deleted anything from my media library.

I see one image in each of those posts and the Page, aligned right.
I am wondering if it has something to do with a problem online somewhere between your connection to the internet and the server where the images are located. The forum has been quite slow today as well: it’s possible WP.com is having problems. I would report it to staff if I were you via http://support.wordpress.com/contact and in the meantime at least I can confirm the images are still there and visible to people in North America at least.
