Missing images in gallery/media

Suddenly about half of images – new and old – aren’t showing up. Is there a problem with severs?

I’m also having this problem. My customised Facebook and Twitter images in my sidebar keep disappearing from the blogs and when I search to ‘re-attach’, the image is no longer in the media library. I have to upload them again. This has happened on each of my three blogs. Today it was First Night History (http://firstnighthistory.wordpress.com) on which the Facebook image had gone awol. I’ve re-uploaded and it’s now fine. But for how long?
Also today, the FB image has disappeared from Rogues & Vagabonds (https://roguesandvagabonds.wordpress.com/2014/10/27/ideastap-underbelly-award-2014-winner-hiraeth-tours-wales/). This time, I have not re-uploaded the image so that you can visit and see what’s going wrong.
Yesterday or the day before, my Award-Free Blog image disappeared on First Night Design (http://firstnightdesign.wordpress.com)/
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible as the issue is making my blogs look very unprofessional. Thank you.
