Missing line break between 1st and 2nd paras in Preview
-
Not sure if this is an updated theme (I have Twenty Fourteen active) or something I’ve done (I did make the mistake at first of pasting in from Word rather than cleansing it in Notepad first) but…when I preview or publish my blog, the blank line between paragraph 1 and 2 disappears (doesn’t affect subsequent paragraphs). You can see it my site in the Tchaikovsky blog between the line ending “Piano Concerto No. 1 in B♭ minor, Op. 23” and the one beginning “It’s one of those tunes from the world of classical music”. In the Text editor there is a clear line break. I can see that the issue affects previous blogs that I have published, always between the first and second paras…any ideas?

As you know it’s a bad idea to paste text from Word to WordPress. The missing line break is caused by a missing
at the end of the first paragraph.

I went into Text Editor (I am usually in Visual editor) expecting to see the missing
at the end of the first para, and to see a
at the end of the others. But…I see no
at all? I do see instances of were I have italicised the text but nothing else. I am missing something here I think…

Oh and also, as a further clue, when I go take a look at examples of my earlier blogs most of them (not all) seem to have become afflicted with the same condition (1st and 2nd paras running into each other)…when they definitely weren’t before
