missing link manager in the old wp-admin (help)
-
Hello,
I have been using the same blogs for more than 10 years teaching semestral math courses and I am missing old the link manager .
With the link manager that was on the left bar ( where you find posts, media, and pages ) I could edit link categories and used that to automatically change menus from one course to the next one
For eg: category 2021 replacing 2020 refreshed all links without editing names or anything else.I know there have been many changes and I see that free blogging is not so flexible as it was.
This is not a complaint but a request for advice. I would very much like to buy sthg like the link manager but without going to sthg expensive.
I ve been using the same blogs ( one for algebra, one for geometry, etc ) for many years for uruguayan public bachellor schools, all of the have been only accesible for people with the link , and worked as a classroom extension.
Please suggest me how to get back the link manager tool. ( I can pay but I am not a bussiness, and I have about five active courses per year )
Thanks in advance
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there, that Links Manager tool is only found in the WP Admin dashboard. You can reach it by adding
/wp-admin/link-manager.phpto your site address.WordPress.com is currently merging the two available dashboards so let us know if you are able to access this or need more help.

You’re welcome.
I’m sorry I don’t know the answer to your question whether the
Links Managerwill be present in the merged interface, so I’ve flagged this thread for a Staff reply. Thanks for your patience. -
Hi there!
The Links Manager was removed from the new navigation because it was removed and replaced with a plugin from WordPress in general over 8 years ago.
The good news is that you will still be able to access that setting with the direct link that @justjennifer shared above.
You can also consider creating a menu and add it as a Navigation Menu WIdget to your site:

Hello fresatomica! I am in fact using for each semester the same menus and reusing links just changing the categories, also I used to browse my media with the search functionality that I see that could be soon unavailable.
I plan to unify all my blogs in one ( – I ve been using for 10 years a different one for each course I teach -) and then upgrade to a bussiness account, because I have no space problems but it seems I I will be needing plugins.
Thanks for your kind reply.
