It looks like that file was deleted from your media library 7 days ago. That is why it is not showing up. I’m seeing that a lot of files have been deleted over the past few weeks. Is there are particular reason why you are deleting them?

i was just trying to ‘clean it up’ a bit and keep it from becoming too full. i thought once they were placed into a post they were there to stay. is there any way to restore them? i have no idea how to get some of the images back –

The images in the posts pull from the files in your media library. They do not exist in both places. The html code in a post just tells a viewer’s browser where to find the file that needs to be displayed.
Sadly, there is no way to recover those images through WordPress.com. This is why the deletion link is labeled “delete permanently”. You might be able to find some of them in the google cache of your site. Or perhaps by using the internet archive “wayback machine”.
