Missing Post

I create a post titled “An Honest Attempt.” This displays well and two friends comment on said post. I then create a new post and it replaces the old post, rather than displaying below it as a good post should. I deleted the first post and pasted the body into a new post which I gave the same title and placed in the same Category. This new post (with a different Post ID, mind you) does not show up, either!

However, the new version of my first post can be accessed quite easily: http://abrad45.wordpress.com/2007/07/04/an-honest-attempt/

    What gives?

You probably have your front page set to display only one post at a time. The only post I see on your blog is one called My Initial Rant.

What are the URLs of the various posts you’re talking about? It’s easier for us to give a response if we can see them directly. The link you’ve posted gives me a 404 error.

I don’t know where that option is, if there is one. Pages are set to display at most 5 pages.

My initial rant is there. There should also be “An honest attempt”

The interesting thing is that if I set “An honest attempt” to the category “Code” the number next to code indicating the number of articles in that category stays at 1, even though I set it to “Code.”

I just logged out and that link gave me a 404 as well. When I log in, I can see the page just fine. What!?

You didn’t set it to Private, did you? Or put the post-date into the future? “An Honest Attempt” is still giving me a 404 error.

On the main blog page I now see My Initial Rant, testing, and testing once more, all of which are showing under the Recent Posts list.

    RAINCOASTER WINS!!!

    Post date in the future…

Still weird though. I made my first post before changing the Time Zone offset. I then adjusted the offset and made a new post, which showed up “before” the other post since the time was technically before. I then made the time 12:32 instead of 00:32. Military time for the win.

Thank you sir :). Minor issue. But weird.

Super. What do I win? And it’s “ma’am.” I would wear army boots, if I could afford them.
