Missing post and draft
-
Why can I no longer type my blog in Word and then paste it into the new blog window? Why is a draft that I wrote yesterday on the ‘add a post page’ missing?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The Admin login link to the dashboard of that site is
http://starmint.wordpress.com/wp-admin/
The saved draft posts are found at
http://starmint.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=postThe saved draft pages are found at
http://starmint.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=pageStaff are working on improving post and page revisions. The most recent 25 revisions are available for posts and pages.
If you cannot restore from your browser, or locate a revision, or restore from Trash then the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.
re: recovering a lost post or page
If the post was created on the dashboard of your own blog at Dashboard > Pages > Add New then you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needed.

Is the draft that you refer to in the topic Why is a draft that I wrote and published yesterday gone? the same draft that you refer to in this topic? If so, then the answer would be that when a post or page is published then it no longer exists as a draft.
“Draft,” “published,” and (in WP Admin editors) “pending review” are the three optional statuses of a post or page. A post/page cannot be in two of these statuses at the same time, but you are free to at any time switch from one status to another and back again.

Perhaps you mean that the published post is gone, but there are no published posts on the site https://starmint.wordpress.com/ that were published this month. Did you publish it yesterday, or leave it as a draft?

The post that I wrote yesterday (Monday 9/4) and posted is gone. It was titled “Your Personal Ecosystem”. I checked the Publish button and viewed the post before logging out. It is still gone. The five posts that are still in Draft were all published months ago yet they are still there in the Draft section. Some algorithm not working? I have not been able to write my posts in Word – as I did for years. In the past year WordPress would not let me copy and paste from my Word document. So I’ve been writing them in the WordPress new post page. This post is now gone since it only existed on WordPress. Did they change some function? By the way, I do appreciate your responses. Sure would like to get back to what I was doing since 2009 that no longer works. Thanks much for your patience and help.

Here’s a static page on the site titled Your Personal Ecosystem: https://starmint.wordpress.com/Your-Personal-Ecosystem/. What might have happened is that you accidentally used a page editor instead of a post editor to create the article.

The Using Microsoft Word with WordPress.com section of the WordPress.com Microsoft Word support page might be helpful. It says, in part:
If you do need to paste content from Microsoft Word, you can do so by selecting your content in your MS Word document and pasting it directly into the Visual Editor in WordPress.com. Not all formatting will carry over cleanly, so you may need to tweak some settings.
