Missing Post Buttons

  For some reason, when I try to make a new post, the buttons to change text color and alignment etc. are gone and replaced with really basic buttons for bold and italics. I also can’t upload pictures, and the loading is a bit sluggish. Is this a bug, or does anyone know how to fix this problem?

  Sounds like you are in the HTML editor. Switch to visual and you should see the icons you are familiar with, including text alignment and color.

  And if the visual tab is not there at the top right of the text area in the editor, go to users > your profile and deselect “Disable the visual editor when writing” and then click “update profile” and it should come back for you.

  I think it was just a bug because now it’s showing up on one of my site’s post editor. Still not coming up on my other site’s editor though.

  the page never even finishes loading, so it’s a problem on the wordpress end I think.

  Then you’ll probably have to contact staff directly via your Contact Support button.

  Hi guys, I seem to have the same problem, but I am in the visual editor (not HTML), so that cannot be the solution.

  I have WP 2.7.1 installed on two different laptops.
  On my old laptop, when I try to add a new post, the pages comes up and there are two lines of formatting button available to write the post, the lower line included the buttons “Format”, “Underline”, “Select text color”, “Paste as plain text”, “Paste from Word” and so on …..

  On my new laptop, I have just installed the same 2.7.1 version and when I try to add a new post, only one line of formatting buttons is shown to write the post (Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, ecc…), so I am missing the second line with some useful buttons ?
  Any explanation for that ? Anybody else out there with the same problem ? Is there anything I need to change in the setting to have the full sent of buttons ?
