Missing Posts
-
I let my hosting plan expire because I want to change to another hosting site.
To be clear, my website is not showing online because the hosting plan has expired. However, the link to the wordpress portion IS showing, however, there are oly 2 posts on there when there should be more.
I have 2 options at the moment –
1) Reinstate the OLD hosting plan (which I was not happy with) temporarily and reinstate my site w/their periodic backups available that I had signed up for.
2) Initiate a NEW hosting plan with the service I want to use – so my Q here is – is it possible THEN that I will find those missing blog posts because it will only show up when my site is backonline, and those are connected to the website?
But somehow these 1st posts were not?
**NOTE** I do recall making choices at some point about what/which wordpress site I was going to use – wordpress.org vs wordpress.com – but I DON’T recall if that was going to make a difference like what’s going on now.I really do NOT want to lose those posts – I DO have the original texts of course but they are full of photos which would have to be re-inserted, a lot of work checking links as well etc etc etc.
Please PLEASE advise only if you are clear about what is going on here – no speculations, please.
Many many thanks for responding – !!

Hi there,
**NOTE** I do recall making choices at some point about what/which wordpress site I was going to use – wordpress.org vs wordpress.com – but I DON’T recall if that was going to make a difference like what’s going on now.
I am pretty sure I know what is going on here and the quote above is key to that. What is the URL of the domain connected to the hosting plan? There is no history of you having purchased a subscription for a custom domain with us which is why I believe the site you are referring to is not hosted here at WordPress.com. However, once I know the domain URL, I can confirm and also point you in the right direction for support.
Thank you!
