missing posts on the tag listings page

I think I may have a problem, I don’t seem to be showing up in the listings anywhere. Would you be a peach and check and see if you can find my post on the postaweek2011 listings pages? I’ve surfed through 17 pages and can’t find it. Thanks.

Oh, this is easy to straighten out. You’re using far too many tags/categories. Staff have said you risk getting banned from the listings if you use more than a total of 10-12 tags and/or categories per post. That’s your problem.

Hi I have a question please. I just added a new post called “The Debt Ceiling…What’s Really Going On?” to my blog. The post shows up just fine on my dashboard at http://jlep.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-php . However when I log out and go to view my blog like a regular reader at http://jlep.wordpress.com , the post is not there at all.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.

I see it. The title is there followed by a “Continue reading more” link. Click it.

Hi timethief. I did just see that. But if you click on http://jlep.wordpress.com with out the admin part do you see anything at all? I just see it starting with the old post “What’s wrong with marriage”.

That’s really so weird. I do see the title and continue reading more on the home page when I click read my blog from the admin page, but not through the normal reader’s page. Maybe it’s the too many tags and categories like you said. I’m going to remove some and see what happens. Thanks for sending me that link. I’m going to try that now.

The reason the full post is not displaying on your front page is not because of the excessive tagging issue. As I said above I think you inadvertently inserted “the more tag” into the post. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/ You need to edit the post and remove “the more tag” and then click update.

Hi timethief. Once again you’ve been a terrific help. I did have the read more in the wrong place at the beginning of the post. Then I logged out and logged back in and now I can see it. And I took off some of the tags. Thanks so much for all of your assistance.
