MISSING POSTS !!! WORDPRESS HAVE DELETED MY WORK

I have been using WordPress for uni work for over 2 years now, I am studying a photography degree and it is VITAL that it doesn’t fuck up.
Whilst organising some posts into categories today I noticed SEVERAL
and I mean loooooooads of my old work has been completely deletedWHAT THE HELL
..this was definitely not me and no one else has access to my site, or my laptop
I’ve googled every eventuality but I personally didn’t delete these posts so how the hell am I supposed to continue using wordpress confidently if I think my work is going to literally vanish !!
please, can someone help ???? I’m trying to find ways to get word press’s attention as I use the free package, and I am honestly horrified this has happened.

wordpress.com never deletes pages and posts on someone’s website. I tagged this with modlook to get attention from a Staff Memeber, they can see what has happened to your site.
I would advice you to change your password to a strong password and activate 2FA. -

Literally, no one has access to this but me. I’m so devastated…
I’m in my final year of uni and feel really uneasy about using wordpress any more….

I’m sorry you’ve lost your work, that sounds frustrating! We do not delete user’s content so I had a look at your blog’s activity and I can see that 16 posts were deleted (by your account) 2 months ago and more posts were removed earlier.
If you don’t remember doing that and you think someone might have accessed your account, I suggest you change your password and activate two step authentication for more security: -
got the 2fa thing, have changed password
I’ve even taken print screens of media that missing on the ‘add media’ from them dates but is still in certain posts from the 2 categories that have been tampered with… I just don’t understand
pages and pages have just gone….

“I” did not lose or delete my work.
I have changed my password and am in the process of doing the 2 step authentication…
can these posts be gotten back ?? I even images that are not in my media but are on posts ???

I know how to use your website and deleted posts would’ve been in my trash…. how is this possible !!!! and why cant you do anything to sort this out??

I would’ve noticed 16 POSTS in my trash !!!Either someone has hacked my account or wordpress don’t want to take responsibility for some sort of error
I even have a print screen of one of my deleted posts in my “binned” from 2018 ??? what the hell is going on with my account …..

Wordpress.com isn’t responsible for the fact someone got your login and password.
As you didn’t delete those posts and media yourself, it’s clear someone got your login and password. -
how is it implausible for wordpress to not have had an error ?
if I was simply hacked how do I have print screen from my app from TODAY of a 2 year old post in my binned folder????
you just said they delete after 2 days so how is this even possible ??

Hi there,
We would have the noted history in our system on our end that tracks how we engage with sites and their accounts if there was anything we did to the site. As staff-mckluskey mentioned, the content was deleted from under your account, so if you did not do it yourself, someone logged in as you must have.
I’m seeing content being deleted pretty consistently over the last two years, almost every month for the last two years. Have you deleted anything during that time? Any posts, pages, or menus?

I know what’s been said i can read and have responded numerous times..
And yes.. I do consistently delete work on here.. from my DRAFTS, I’ve only ever deleted a published post once or twice. ESPECIALLY not that many. I have also recently been deleting sub categories, but before doing so changing the linked categories on each post, not that deleting a sub catergory would delete my posts anyway… they would’ve been uncategorised…
Look I know how to use your site… and I’m getting really offended that your company are pretty much calling me a liar …. I have not deleted my own work and yet your not even helping or trying to solve this. Nor has anyone stated whether this work can be gotten back ???
I have a print screen of a post sitting in my bin FROM 2018!!! ??? Which is one of the missing posts ?? How is that even possible ?
Yesterday I only noticed this because I was again.. changing sub categories and realised half were missing!! You should be able to see that I did the same process on the titles, environment and identity so am clearly a competent user… I also noticed when using the admin mode that a number of posts weren’t showing properly in my menu count, which was totally weird so I was having to go into each post on my blog and change the ticked categories that way instead of quick edit from the admin page…
Please can I have a different form of contact to send print screens too.!!!!!!!
I want my work back and an explanation
My account hasn’t been hacked because why would they only delete parts of it
And I had problems CONSISTENTLY with your website yesterday.
Seriously devastated at how this happened and being handled.

Nobody is calling you a liar. I understand that losing a bunch of posts must be super annoying. In your site’s activity, we can see that there were many posts removed from your account – you said you have not removed them so the only explanation left is that someone accessed your account. Have you ever left your session open on a public computer (at the Uni, for example)? This might be what happened but we have no way of knowing, we can only see what was done and when.
We also, unfortunately, have no way of restoring deleted content if it was removed from the trash bin.

What exactly do you mean by that?
As for the screenshots, as @staartmees mentioned, you can send those using a service like https://snipboard.io/ or upload them directly to your media library, we can have a look at them from there.
