Missing Scheduled Posts
-
I am having the opposite problem. My posts are defaulting to “scheduled.” Scheduled for the time I just hit “publish.” There’s some baffling delay in the publication. I hit publish and it says “scheduled” and offers me the chance to “preview” my post. All the settings that are within eyesight are set to “publish immediately,” but still I have to futz and fidget with it to get it to actually show me it has published the damned things. What is up with that? Adding five minutes or more to every post is enough to send me searching for a better provider.

Hi rogerinorlando,
Currently, the settings on your blog are set to UTC +0:

Does that match the timezone you’re currently in? If not, can you change it to match your timezone and let me know if that makes a difference?

…and what happened to the shortlink that used to be at the top? I can’t find it in the new editor.

Hi @mrbisogno,
The shortlink link isn’t in the new editor just yet. However, we’re looking to put it in!

Thanks for getting back to me quickly. Having the shortlink handy is a big deal for me.
Does WordPress have a suggestion box? If so, I would suggest numbering tags as they are typed in. I always try to make sure I don’t go over a certain amount of tags in an effort to keep WordPress and Google happy, but I hate to count them as I go.

Hi!
We do have an ideas forum here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas
Feel free to add the tag numbering there! No need to add the shortlink suggestion as we already have that queued up for future improvements!

Thanks. I bookmarked it. I’m sure some really good ideas have come from the bloggers themselves.
