missing site

  I started a site back in 2015. It has recently gone missing and I cannot find it in my profile or dashboard anywhere.

  Hi there,
  Are you sure that your website is hosted with WordPress.com?
  It sounds like you are using the open source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) which is hosted elsewhere rather than WordPress.com. Please know more here about the differences https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/

  Please contact your hosting provider. They might be able to help you.

  That is helpful, thanks. I have a site that is blog.swiftduck.net that is/was hosted through WordPress… now which one is a good question.

  I have login for WordPress.com and I cannot get WordPress.org to recognize an email address or username causing me to think it was through .com, but an email from 2 years ago showed an update to .org. Problem is .org doesn’t recognize an account with my email or username at all!

  I wonder if accounts get scrubbed if they haven’t been used in a long time?

  Update: ok, found out WordPress wasn’t the hosting provider actually..which is why I didn’t have WordPress credentials to my WordPress site. Problem solved
